PowerLinx to Launch SecureView(R) PLVS Plus Home Monitoring Products and Expand Domestic and International Marketing
TIERRA VERDE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 29, 2004-- PowerLinx, Inc. (OTC BB:PWLX), the leader in power line communication products announced it will be demonstrating powerline technology and products during the 2005 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. The Consumer Electronics Show runs January 6-9, 2005.
Key prospects and customers are being invited to make an appointment to see a demonstration of PowerLinx® technologies and learn more about how these technologies can work for them. Meetings will be conducted at two locations in Las Vegas within minutes of the Las Vegas Convention Center. A demonstration of technology and showing of products in a retail setting will be located at the Computer Builders Warehouse, 7353 W. PowerLinx® will also have a display at the Analog Devices exhibit. This exhibit is located in booth #15206 in the Central Hall.
The Company will demonstrate proprietary technology that sends Video, Audio and Data over existing Alternating and Direct Current Power Lines in homes, offices, hotel, MDUs and vehicles. The demonstrations will include several applications of its powerline technology.
One application demonstrated will be Power Line Vision Systems(TM) technology. PLVS(TM) sends analog video and audio from multiple cameras over the existing power lines in a home or small office to a Master Control Box. The Master Control Box outputs to standard televisions. The MCB also sends the video and audio back onto the power line as a digital signal for viewing on computers either locally or remotely and for viewing by remote monitoring services.
PowerLinx® Digital Solutions technology achieves similar results with digital video, audio and data.
The Hotel Connect demonstration will show PowerLinx's ability to provide Internet connectivity and on demand video in Hotels and Multiple Dwelling Units using existing power lines in those buildings.
The Company will demonstrate Home Theater technology that is capable of sending audio to the rear speakers in surround sound systems using existing power lines in the home.
The PowerLinx® Rear Vision technology uses a vehicles existing wiring to send video from cameras mounted on the rear and side of a truck, bus or recreational vehicle to the cab of the vehicle. The signal is received from the vehicles wiring at the dashboard and displayed on a monitor. The driver can use the video to avoid accidents in traditional blind spots.
